I love making my own insect repellent for the garden and my indoor plants. The organic recipe helps alleviate the need for buying more plastic bottles and whatever ingredients there are in those bottles. Here is my take on insect repellent.
1 tablespoon of soap, this can be any soap even shampoo, I use any of my refill soaps for this.
10 drops of pepperment essential oil, if you don’t have this at hand, you can use dried peppermint tea leaves by soaking them then drain and use the water as your peppermint oil.
Add 4 cups of water, I use cups as I am not a fan of getting the scale out when a cup will just do fine. Any tea coffee cup can be used. If you are making the peppermint tea make 4 cups of hot water with a handful of peppermint tea, strain and use this as your water.
Mix together, fill a spray bottle and use where ever there are bugs on your plants.
The smell is absolutely gorgeous and will make you feel refreshed and envigorated.
