Celebrating pizza day in style – National Pizza Day! Any excuse for pizza making. This is our family recipe which we use often and it makes a great family evening get-together… All dried pantry ingredients can be found under http://www.pantryrefillcompany.co.uk/pantryproducts
- 300g Organic strong bread flour
- 1tsp Organic instant yeast
- 1/2tsp Kosher fine salt
- 200ml Warm water
- 1tbsp Olive oil
- 110ml Passata sauce
Begin by putting the oven on at 220℃ Fan or 240℃ or 425℉
Measure your flour and add to a standing mixer bowl. Add yeast to one side of the bowl and salt to the other. Mix together and while the mixer is mixing add the water and olive oil. Mix until the dough is soft and wet. Then let the mixer knead for 3 minutes. If you would like to knead this yourself, turn the soft wet dough out on a floured surface kneading for 5 minutes. Cover with tea towel to rest.
Taking a handful of dough, make a ball then begin to shape dough into a pizza – flying pizza’s are allowed! This is the fun bit!
Once you have shaped your pizza dough place onto a pizza stone or pizza pan. Pour some passata sauce onto the pizza and using the back of a spoon spread and smooth over your pizza.
Add your ingredients whatever you want. Drizzle olive oil over your pizza and pop into the oven for 8 – 10 minutes until baked and crisp.
